chercicidesigns

Welcome to chercicidesigns. Since I am new at blogging, please be patient with me for a while. I am good at designing, but a bit technologically challenged. I would love to share some of my ideas with you. It is the technology which might occasionally get in the way!

Easel Christmas card
It's been soooo long since I last entered anything on my blog I don't know if I remember how.  School this year has kept me super busy and not much time for crafting.
Here are some cards I worked on recently.

Then I made a few "present" cards.  That inspired me to turn the present cards into gift card holders.

I was inspired by an alphabet book I saw on Gramma's House of Cards and created an ABC book for my granddaughter.  I used a variety of papers and embellishments, chipboard, and several Cricut cartridges.  The alphabet letters were from The Learning Curve cart.  Also used were Sweet Treats, Animal Kingdom, Paper Doll Dress Up.  I had a blast and am now hooked on the chipboard mini albums.  Keep clicking on older posts to view the entire alphabet book!.

Here are some cards I have been working on this week

Thanks to a designer by the name of Monique Griffith, I found this fabulous photo album which uses the Cricut Cartridge Animal Kingdom. I am hooked and so created this Wild About You album. I changed mine slightly and added a monkey instead of a parrot using only 4 animals instead of the five she had. Here is also a birthday card for our musician son in law

some invitations

Some wedding invitations

My first attempt at designing a wedding invitation was for my daughter who wanted something with leaves because it was an outdoor, fall wedding .  I created prepared cardstock with various leaf stamps, created a pocket and added an insert with the wedding info on the pullout insert.

3 Bears in Tote Bag

Here's an oldie but goodie brought back from the past. I used to make and sell these before all the book companies started to sell packages with a book and toys together. I like to include a golden book story of the 3 Bears when I have time to sew these.

Projects

Here are some pages from the travel album which I created for our daughter in law who is spending the semester in France.  It was my first major attempt at an album like this.  Very much fun but whoa . . . the time it took  . . . !
