chercicidesigns

Welcome to chercicidesigns. Since I am new at blogging, please be patient with me for a while. I am good at designing, but a bit technologically challenged. I would love to share some of my ideas with you. It is the technology which might occasionally get in the way!

CardzTV challenge

After 2 years of not having time to post anything on my blog things have changed dramatically in technology. I am not even sure I can get this photo to post as I don't seem to know what I am doing anymore. Anyway, here is a 3D card I was inspired to create for a nephew's "Gone Fishing birthday party. The inspiration for a 3 d card came from Splitcoast stampers site. I used Cricut cartridge Teddy Bear Parade, the dies are from Papertrey ink and Elizabeth Craft, fish and water stamps are from oldies set from Stampin Up!

Cards TV Challenge March 2017

I can't believe that I haven't had time to post any cards for 2 years! Woah! Here is a cute card that I was inspired to make for a nephew's "Gone Fishing" Themed birthday party. Directions for the card came from SplitCoast scampers site. The Cricut cartridge is Teddy Bear Parade, the dies are from Papertrey ink, Elizabeth Craft (I think), fish St fish stamp is an oldie from Stampin Up! As you can see, I never stick to just one company. Paper is from Papertrey ink.

Today is Papertrey Ink's Blog Hop in which I finally made time to participate.  The background paper is stamped using ink pads and the end of a bunch of celery, making what looks like beautiful purple, turquoise and pink roses.  The butterfly is from one of my favorite PTI stamp and dies sets called "Life is Beautiful".   Also layered is a sentiment from PTI stamp set "Stylish Sentiments: birthday".
I had a blast stamping these "celery roses".

BirthdayPocket card using my stash.

Another pocket card with birthday greeting insert.
These work very well to make them with double sided paper.

Here's a baby boy pocket card with insert just waiting to send.

This card shows a simple background made with Hero Arts ink and celery roses, stamped with the cut off end of a whole bunch of celery.  For Valentine's day I added a purple heart with a sentiment.

This recent card made for nephew's birthday was done with paper from my stash and a stamp set and dies from Papertrey ink.
This is one of 7 little girls' shrugs made as christmas gifts in 2014.  So much fun to knit!

A Christmas gift for son in law.  Quick and easy!

Cradle Purse flips up to become a purse.  Made 3 for granddaughters.

Felt Barrette Gifts

I can't believe it has been so long since I wrote anything on my blog.  My life took a very different turn since the last post.  In June I lost one of my best friends, I retired from teaching preschool, and in August I lost my mom.  Since retiring, I have begun babysitting our year old granddaughter, full time, and she is terrific!  But I don't have as much time as I'd like to craft.  I try to work on projects while K is napping.  Thank heavens she still takes AM AND PM naps!

Here are the latest cards I have worked on.  I also have enjoyed making felt covered barrettes using Papertrey ink dies.  Some will be Christmas gifts.

This is one of several birthday cards needed for the weekend.  I used PTI stamp set: Happy Hexagons and Perls of Wisdom, Stampin UP papers and button, and Adirondak inks.  Until today I hadn't used any of PTI's felt but I LOVE it.  It cut with a Nestabilities die on my Cuttlebug like it was butter!
Inside it finishes the sentiment Wishing  . . . you a wonderful birthday stitched up with love.

Wedding cards created for two occasions that are coming up.

For these cards, I used Stampin Up! whisper white card base, glitter paper, Dazzle stickers, Spellbinders pearl embellishments, and stamps which I had on hand.

Here is the inside of each card.  I love the sentiment, but can't remember where I got the stamp.
